Soft Services Managers are responsible for the day to day operation of a building.
The types of areas covered by Soft Services are:
- Front of House
- Helpdesk
- Cleaning
- Security
- Catering & Hospitality
- Portering
- Postroom (this may include reprographincs and messenger)
Customer focus for soft service jobs
Candidates will be expected to be very customer focused with strong communications skills and an ability to either work in a team or manage staff. You will be relied upon to ensure that you manage the services efficiently, be able to budget costs and deal with various contracts.
No general qualifications are needed but most successful candidates come from the industry and have a well-rounded knowledge of FM. You would benifit from having knwledge of FM software & Health and Safety qualifications.
