A degree in Civil Engineering, chartered status with either the ILT or ICE, Transport Planning (or equivalent) are the normal requirements. Transport Software Programmes training in Arcady, Picady, Saturn, Trips, Transyt and Linsig is an advntage as is experience of the traffic or transportations sectors.
To succeed in this highly competitive field, you will need excellent numeracy and literacy skills. The ability to work on one’s own initiative and as part of a team is an important attribute.
