Different backgrounds for building control jobs
People come into Building Control in a number of ways. You can be a tradesman/site foreman/agent and progress with an HNC/HND. These can be in Building and engineering. Or you might have a BA/BSc in surveying/construction./engineering. Membership of the following are also recognised: MRICS, MCIOB, Association of Building Engineers, Instiute of Structural Engineers and Institute of Building Control Officers.
